Brief
Graphics created for the category ‘Books’ required expert level of comping technique to make a flat images appear as 3-dimensional book collages. When we identify gaps such as these, which can be automated to help improve the experience we create a Kaizen, documenting how it improves the process and do a knowledge transfer to the team to embed it within our process. This Kaizen helped improve the overall quality of creating visuals for the Books Category.

Role
I identified the gap, designed the template, and worked on the Kaizen documentation with the help of the Kaizen lead. When we create visuals for the Books categories, often the graphics look flat because we lose the dimensionality in the product photograph and so I worked on a template to help mockup the books into a more realistic image. Manually creating these mockups take a long time and require internal reviews which take up a lot of production time that could be used more efficiently.
